In October of 2023, the graphic artists and editor of ‘But I Live’ were invited to the German Studies Association (GSA) Arts Night & DEFA Screening as guest speakers to discuss the graphic novel.
Charlotte Schallié and Miriam Libicki attended the GSA in person, while Barbara Yelin and Gilad Seliktar joined via Zoom.

Additionally, Charlotte participated in a panel on October 7, focusing on “Migration, Racism, and Memory in the Graphic Novel: DAAD German Studies Professors Roundtable”
