Many thanks to all who attended the Canadian book launch of ‘But I Live’ in Victoria in the fall of 2022. With over 130 people in attendance, it was a resounding success and we are humbled by the incredible support from colleagues, friends and the greater community.
The book launch took place on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, at the Esquimalt Gorge Park Pavilion, in Victoria, British Columbia.
Micha Menczer hosted a roundtable discussion with the Project Director and editor, Dr. Charlotte Schallié, artist Miriam Libicki, and Holocaust survivor David Schaffer. Charlotte and Miriam delved into their research and artistic processes, while David spoke more about his experiences as a young Holocaust survivor. Each emphasised the different points of collaborations, and how the project has impacted their lives.
SOLD OUT!
Thanks to the support of the UVic Bookstore, books were available for purchase and quickly sold out! Many attendees purchased books to be signed by the authors, often purchasing multiple books, for gifts, the classroom and family members.
