‘But I Live: Three Stories of Child Survivors of the Holocaust’ was a Finalist in the Graphic Novels & Comics (General) category of the 2022 Foreword Indies Book of the Year Awards.
This category includes narrative works in which the story is conveyed to the reader using sequential art in either an experimental design or in a traditional comics format. It has since received an Honorable Mention for the Graphic Novels & Comics category.
We are grateful to be considered in this year’s competition, as there were over 2,600 entries submitted in 55 categories, with Foreword’s editors choosing approximately 10 finalists per genre. The finalists were shared with individual librarians and booksellers tasked with picking the Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honorable Mention winners.
